soundsystems began to voice new tunes.
Today there are thousands of Soundsystems/Artists/Labels who release their riddims and
tunes and it´s di task of a
soundsystem to give di people di opportunity to listen
to di nicest,deepest and toughest tunes.
Dancehall:
Dancehall music is di "younger brother" of Reggae. Dancehall riddims differ from Conscious music, cos dem have lot more electronic sounds.The lyrics cope with different topics like bussin guns, sex or di livin ina di ghetto. Sounds like us play dancehall music to mek di people wine and live up.
Soca outta Trinidad and Tobago
Soca music was born in di 70's while Calypso was mixed up with indian Riddims.
Di name soca derives its origin from
"SOul of CAlypso".
Di high speed and di many percussive elements shows di energy of the music. The caribean carnival culture is bound to its powaful vybez.It is celebrated in Trinidad and Tobago in Febuary and in July/August on Barbados. Many other caribean Islands, like de Dominican Republic, have meanwhile Soca Riddims in their Selection.
In Germany the Interest of Soca music is growin in a Mixture with Dancehall Tunes.
